Ngopi@Kangar

We just finished strolling at Kangar street art and found this unique cafe by chance. Love the interior setting that makes one feel relaxed and at ease. Had cappuccino and we highly recommend Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. When in Kangar, don’t skip Ngopi.

Ngopi is hands down the best coffee spot in town! The coffee is always rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. Their pastries are equally delicious and pair so well with the drinks. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. I also love the interior design, the shop has a cozy yet stylish atmosphere with a beautiful layout that makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Highly recommended.

Tucked away in Kangar, Ngopi might look unassuming at first glance—until you step in. The rustic decor preserves the shop’s old paintwork and steel chairs with peeling charm, while natural light from the skylight (plus a few spotlights) creates a warm, cozy vibe. Minimalist yet inviting, though the echoes of a busy lunch crowd do add some character and buzz to the spot. Food-wise, the croissant honey mustard sandwich hit the spot—flaky, buttery, with a tangy-sweet kick and extra crunch from fresh lettuce. The panini beef pastrami with light mint BBQ sauce was another highlight: savory, refreshing, and surprisingly brilliant. The Guatemala beans–infused latte packed real punch—smooth yet strong, with that layered depth only good beans deliver. What makes it even cooler is watching it crafted on their transparent San Remo espresso machine, where the interior mechanics are on full display. The espresso pressure bar looks almost like a speedometer from a MotoGP or F1 car—coffee with a little motorsport drama on the side. Pastries deserve a mention too. I liked that they’re not oversized—perfect for one or sharing a few. I tried several, but the maple pecan stood out: fresh, flaky, subtly sweet, with that rare audible crunch as the layers break probably because it's freshly baked daily, and you can taste (and hear) the difference. Overall, Ngopi nails it—rustic ambience, creative food, bold coffee, and pastries that shine. Definitely not your average café stop.

THE BOMB DOT COM! We ordered Americano and Latte, both are excellent. Their Americano win my heart, pack a punch. Pastry and sandwich are good too. Do sit by the skylight. What I love most about this cafe is, there just cafe ambience sound. People can talk without fighting with the music. Cozy lighting. Sitting arrangment can accomodate 2-8 people. Aircond pun just nice tak sejuk gedi.
